Fun fingerpicking inspired by Leo Kottke, among others. An old idea, actually, which I have re-arranged with an alternating thumb picking pattern. Ring finger plays 1st string, middle finger 2nd string and index finger 3rd string, thumb strings 4-6, except where indicated.

My version of this bluesy traditional folk song. In DADGAD tuning. This download includes both PDF and Guitar Pro tab files as well as two mp3 files. File size: 6.93Mb
My own favorite :) Open A-tuning: 2nd string down to A, 3rd string down to E, 4th string down to C sharp. Involves some strumming, which I recommend doing with your index finger. The right hand fingering is "classical", meaning ring finger plays 1st string, middle finger 2nd string and index finger 3rd string, thumb strings 4-6, except where indicated. TAB/ standard notation. Original song in open G tuning from the Acoustics album. On the recording I use a percussive effect, which is not transcribed, where I accent the 2 and 4 beats by lightly hitting the guitar bridge with my right hand palm. Learn the song without it first and then try adding it later, use my YouTube video as reference.
